ENGAGEMENT MODEL

Structured Advisory. Actionable Insights. Meaningful Outcomes.

Luminary’s engagement model is designed to provide meaningful strategic value while preserving independence, objectivity, and focus. Luminary works through clearly defined advisory engagements tailored to the stage, complexity, and needs of each organization. Luminary’s work is organized into three engagement tiers, each designed to address a specific type of challenge and level of complexity. This structure allows clients to engage at the appropriate depth for their practice's needs.

Diagnostic & Assessment Services

Diagnostic & Assessment services are designed to provide owners with objective insight into how their business is functioning today and where it is most constrained. These engagements are appropriate when: the core issues are unclear decisions are being delayed or second-guessed leadership wants an independent, experienced perspective These services are diagnostic in nature. They do not include implementation, operational management, or ongoing advisory support. Many clients engage at this level as a standalone engagement, while others use it as a foundation for more focused advisory work.

Executive Advisory Retainer

Advisory Retainers are reserved for a limited number of owners and leadership teams navigating sustained complexity or transition. Retained advisory relationships are appropriate when decisions are ongoing rather than episodic, leadership benefits from continuity of perspective, or when ownership values an independent strategic sounding board. In these engagements, Luminary provides ongoing executive-level counsel while remaining firmly advisory in role. Retainer relationships are selective, time-bound, and structured to preserve focus and independence.

Focused Advisory Engagements

Focused Advisory Engagments are fixed-scope advisory modules designed to address specific, high-impact areas of the business in meaningful depth. These engagements are appropriate when the challenge is clearly defined, decisions carry material financial, operational, or leadership consequences, or ownership wants structured guidance without ongoing dependency. Advisory engagements are delivered over a defined timeframe and include working sessions and written strategic guidance. Luminary works to help clients evaluate tradeoffs, design structure, and make disciplined decisions. Advisory services do not include execution, operational management, or vendor oversight.

CHOOSING THE RIGHT ENGAGEMENT

Not every client requires ongoing advisory support, and not every situation warrants deep engagement. Luminary works with clients to identify the appropriate entry point based on the stage of their business, clarity of the challenge, decision urgency, organizational complexity, and other factors. Luminary will always seek to recommend the level of engagement that best serves each client’s interests.
